| Customer Reviews: decent cable October 9, 2009 N8N (inside the beltway USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
What can I say? This is a Shimano derailleur cable, it's stainless steel, and it's inexpensive. It just works, and stainless is great for an old school bike with exposed cables running down the downtube, who wants to look at rusty old cables? Just so you know, this is only one cable, so if you have a front and rear derailleur you'll need two, and if you need to replace the cable housing for the rear derailleur you'll need that as well, so in that case you might be better served just to buy a complete cable kit. But if your rear cable housing is OK and you just need a new cable, this one is hard to beat.
I did not try to solder the cut end, so if you're the kind of rider who prefers soldered ends to crimp caps, I can't say how easily it takes solder or not.
Excellent product August 29, 2008 Colleen Bokoski (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Product was perfect and very well made fit bike exactly how it was suppose to. You only need one of these to do both the front and back gears
