Product Description If you've bent a cleat, lost a cleat, or ground them down to nubs that couldn't hold an empty shoe let alone your entire leg, you need a new set of Shimano SPD Cleats. Shimano actually recommends replacing cleats yearly to maintain consistent pedal release and retention. The SH51 is an easy-entry, single-direction release cleat designed for spin classes, commuters and road bikers using SPD pedals. The SH56 has multi-directional release and a corrosion-resistant chrome finish for mountain bike use, and the SH52 is for use with Shimano's PD-M858 pedal.

Does the job, can't go wrong with Shimano May 19, 2009 Pavel 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is what it is, does the job, easy to use. These were my first clip in cleats, simple to use. It took me about 10 minutes to get used to my feet being clipped in. Noticable power increase. Highly recommended.
Exactly as Advertised October 26, 2009 William G. Baker (FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased a road bike with clipless pedals but did not have the proper cleats for my bike shoes. I went to a local bike shop and found a set for $30. I was able to purchase the identical item on Amazon for about $17 including shipping.
The description on Amazon was right on, the delivery on time. The cleats work perfectly. What more could you ask for? Needless to say, I am very satisfied and would recommend Amazon and this merchant to anyone. Thank you.
Great. to bad they are stoping making these. November 13, 2008 Mark P. Stevens (Utah) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great. to bad they are stoping making these. The plastic ones are no good for mtn biking. I broke the plastic ones pretty quick. Get the metal while you can.
Great Cleats July 19, 2008 RgR This is the first time I've used this type of cleat. I originally purchased the Shimano SM-SH51 single release cleats, but changed my mind and ordered these multi-release cleats. I have them mounted on a new pair of Shimano SH-MT41G Mountain Bike Shoes. They make it very easy to get in and out of the Shimano PD-M424 pedals I bought for them. My last experience with this type setup was about 15 years ago on a road bike with road shoes and cleats. The difference is like night and day. I could never get used to road cleats. I always felt like I couldn't get out of the pedals fast enough. My short experience with these cleats has changed my mind, and I'm very comfortable with them. I'm not nearly as paranoid as I thought I'd be riding around town in this new setup.
Works as described July 14, 2009 J. Balmer The cleats were just as described and were easy to attach to bike shoes. They work just as they should. Very Satisfied.
